FAQs

1) When does the Academy start?

The Academy runs on a cohort basis, so you’ll have a defined start date and move through the 12 months with your group. Once enrolment closes, the cohort begins.

2) How is the programme delivered?

You’ll receive monthly pre-recorded teaching audios (one per month), plus workbooks, templates and resources inside the private platform. There are quarterly live sessions for activation and coaching.

Platform access starts in May 2026.

Once the cohort begins, you’ll get immediate access to the platform and that month’s module. Modules are released monthly on a set date and unlocked one at a time to help you focus and implement, rather than binge and forget.

3) What is the time commitment each month?

Plan for 2–3 hours per month as a baseline:

  • 20–30 mins listening to the audio
  • 60–90 mins doing the workbook/tool
  • 30–60 mins applying it to your Leadership Project and pod check-in
If you do more, great. If you do the minimum consistently, you’ll still grow.

4) Are there weekly live calls?

No. This is designed to be sustainable. The only live requirement is the Quarterly Leadership Activation session.

5) What happens in the Quarterly Leadership Activation?

Each 90-minute Leadership Activation session includes:

  • Check ins
  • practical implementation prompts
  • Q and A based on cohort submissions
  • Warm Seat Coaching (2 women are selected for live coaching)

6) What are Peer Accountability Pods?

You’ll be placed in a small group that checks in using a simple structure. It’s included and it’s part of the design, because growth loves accountability and excuses love isolation.

7) What is the Leadership Project?

A Leadership Project is how you apply what you’re learning in real life. It can be in your:

  • workplace
  • business
  • ministry, community, or volunteer setting
This is not an SWM internal placement. You’ll lead in your own context.

8) Will I get support for my Leadership Project?

Yes, without turning Detola into your personal project manager. Support comes through:

  • the Leadership Project Toolkit (templates that guide you step by step)
  • a Monthly Project Pulse check-in (5 minutes)
  • peer accountability pods
  • Warm Seat coaching for selected submissions during quarterly sessions

9) Do I need to do Maxwell DISC?

In Module 6, you’ll review your Maxwell DISC report.
If you haven’t done one in the last 6 months, you’ll be encouraged to complete a new one. Access to the assessment and your report is complimentary

10) Are the recommended books included?

Books are recommended, not required, and are typically purchased separately. The Academy will always give you the core teaching and tools even if you don’t read every book.

11) What if I fall behind or miss a month?

You’ll have access to the audios and resources, so you can catch up. The cohort structure keeps momentum, but the content is there when life happens.

12) Will the quarterly sessions be recorded?

Where possible, yes, and replays will be made available inside the platform.

13) Is this programme “only for people with titles”?

No. If you’re influencing people, making decisions, building anything, raising humans, leading teams, serving in church, or running a business, you’re already in leadership territory. This Academy helps you lead it well.

14) What happens after the 12 months?

You can continue in the SWM Alumni Leadership Circle, a lower continuation investment that keeps you connected, resourced, and sharpened long-term. Alumni may also be invited into optional service opportunities within the SWM ecosystem, subject to availability and alignment.

15) What’s the investment and payment options?

You have two rates:

  • Founding Members rate: £1,499 for those who join the launching cohort.
  • Regular rate: £1,999
Both have pay-in-full and instalment options. Instalment plans are slightly higher and are not a monthly subscription.

16) Is there a refund policy?

This is a 12-month cohort programme with fixed start and end dates. By enrolling, you are reserving a place on the cohort and committing to the programme term.

Cooling-off period
You may cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.

Pre-start cancellation (before the cohort begins)
If you purchase well in advance of the start date, you may also request a cancellation up to 7 days before the cohort start date in May for a full refund. After this point, refunds are not available because programme capacity and delivery are scheduled for the cohort.

When access begins (May start)
Platform access begins when the cohort starts in May. Once you access the platform and programme content, you acknowledge that you are receiving digital content and programme delivery, and refunds are not available.

Instalment plans
Payment plans are offered to make the investment more manageable. They are not a monthly subscription. By choosing an instalment plan, you are agreeing to pay the full programme price over time. If payments fail, access may be paused until your account is brought up to date.

Deferrals
If you experience extenuating circumstances, you may request a one-time deferral to a future cohort, subject to availability.

If we cancel
If we cancel the programme for any reason, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future cohort.
